With iOS 10, Apple introduced a new feature of sharing iCloud Analytics data so, Apple can improve its products and services by analyzing the iCloud received from their users.
Though most of the users trust Apple with their information, not everyone does and there is a simple way to stop sharing your iCloud Analytics data with Apple so, your data remains to yourself only.
This data(e.g text snippets) that Apple receives from its users allow it to improve its products and services especially Cloud services and Intelligent services e.g Siri.
If you opt to share your data with Apple then you should know that it comes with security measures and Apple won’t be able to link or associate that data with you in any way. Apple respects the privacy of users and makes sure that no data that you share with it can be linked or associated with you.
However, if you still don’t want to share your data then Apple has included an option by which you can stop sharing your iCloud Analytics Data with Apple.
How to stop sharing iCloud analytics data with Apple?
To stop sharing your iCloud Analytics data with Apple follow these steps:
- On your iOS device(iPhone or iPad) launch the Settings App.
- Go to Privacy > Analytics.
- Look for Share iCloud Analytics and tap on the slider next to it to turn it off.
Turning off this feature won’t have any effect on the usage of your device, however, your data will no longer be shared with Apple.
iCloud Analytics Data Sharing is only useful as long as it is in the rights hands. It will allow Apple to improve its services which would be beneficial for us users but there is no obligation or mandatory for you to share your data.
If you want to keep your privacy then you can always turn off this feature but giving away a little bit of privacy would only be useful in this case.
