Apple updates iCloud with new features to restore lost data

iCloud NotesHas it ever happened to you that you want to delete any document that you have on iCloud but end up deleting a very important one and restoring it is just not possible? Well, Apple has a new way for you by which you can restore your deleted data stored on iCloud.

With this method, you can restore iCloud files, Calendars, Reminds, and Contacts. This comes in really handy as restoring the files and other stuff that you delete accidentally was a much-needed feature.

These new restore feature will be found on iCloud.com when you log in into your account and go to the Settings page. At the bottom of the Settings page, in the “Advanced” section, you will find the options to restore deleted Files, Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders.

After this new feature, when you will delete a file from iCloud Drive then you will have 30 days time to recover it from iCloud.com. If you are unable to recover in that time then it will be permanently deleted and you won’t be unable to recover. However, when you recover a file within 30 days period, it will reappear in your iCloud Drive.

This feature can also be used to restore Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders. However, while restoring Contacts, you will have to select the backup archive from which you want to restore your contacts from.

After you select one, a restoration will take place and replace the contacts on all of your devices which are on the same iCloud account with the contacts that you have selected.

Just in case you were wondering, a backup of your current contacts will also be made if you wanted to revert back.
